I was lucky enough to snap a shot at the exact moment the gecko flicked her tongue out, but
unfortunately the camera was focused at the wrong point. I didn't want this one in a million
(okay, maybe one in a hundred) shot to fall into my "Almost but not quite" pile, so I rebuilt the
out of focus areas with pieces from several other photos I shot in this session.
